Interior Design
The interior design of the Alpine Cross Cabin Signature is largely inspired by Japanese minimalism and Zen Buddhism. The uncluttered and harmonious design with subtle colours and natural materials allows the mind to come to rest. At the same time, the multifunctional design creates a generous sense of space and allows you to focus on the essentials. This design concept can be used to create an atmosphere for both concentrated work and a relaxing holiday.

Working Area
The Alpine Cross Cabin Signature was developed to provide optimum conditions for mobile working. Two people can work comfortably at the computer at the same time, or up to six people can take part in a meeting.
At the rear of the vehicle there is a spacious face-to-face seating area with a 1.3 metre long table, under which there are 230V connections, USB charging sockets and an HDMI connection. Here you can work comfortably with your own laptop and there is also space for documents and work utensils. A 24-inch touchscreen is mounted on the wall to the shower cubicle, which can be controlled via the HDMI connection and used as a digital whiteboard for presentations and streaming.
There is another workstation behind the driver's seat, which has a retractable 27-inch monitor. This 4K display can be easily connected to the work laptop and allows you to work with applications that require a large screen. A webcam is also available if required.
A fast and stable internet connection is essential for mobile working. The Alpine Cross Cabin Signature therefore has a mobile 5G router (up to 3000 Mbit/s download speed) with external antenna, which is ideal for video conferencing, streaming and cloud-based working. The vehicle cabin is soundproof on the outside so that meetings can be held undisturbed at any time, even in noisy locations or in heavy rain.
Living Area
Thanks to a smart room layout, the Alpine Cross Cabin Signature offers a generous feeling of space despite its compact external dimensions, reflecting the principles of Japanese minimalism and aesthetics through order. Subtle colours and natural materials, as well as the balanced lighting concept, underline these principles. The surfaces of the wall panelling are finished with bamboo, while the flooring has a stylish tatami look.
You can relax, eat or watch TV at any time on the comfortable, multifunctional face-to-face seating area. When the tailgate is open, you can let your gaze wander outside and extend your free space as you wish. With a continuous headroom of 1.98 m, you also have plenty of room at the top.
Bathroom
The luxurious bathroom of the Alpine Cross Cabin Signature is not only a feast for the eyes, but also a small wellness oasis thanks to its astonishing size. During the day, the wet room with its waterless toilet and ceramic washbasin can be used in its reduced size. However, the size can be almost doubled in one easy step by simply moving the left-hand wall to the left. This creates a spacious bathroom with a rain shower. With a standing height of 1.95 m, showering is pure pleasure. The fresh water tank holds 80 litres and the grey water tank 60 litres.
Kitchen
The kitchen of the Cross Cabin Signature is a minimalist designer piece and harmoniously integrated into the interior. In the gas-free Signature, you can cook on two 800 W induction hobs. The 70-litre refrigerator is also electrically operated. A ceramic sink is available for washing up. Kitchen utensils are stored in several drawers and wall units. A coffee machine has its permanent place in a separate compartment. This is how minimalism works!
Sleeping Area
The seating group can be converted into a fully-fledged bed for 2 people in next to no time: The conference table is simply lowered to the floor and the two seats are pulled into the centre. Together with the backrests, this creates a comfortable lengthways bed with a 180/191 cm long and 186 cm wide lying surface. The cold foam mattresses have two different firmness levels, which are ideal for either sitting or sleeping. There is plenty of storage space under and above the bench seats for bedding and pillows.
Automotive Lightweight Construction
The Alpine Cross Cabin Signature is based on the NEXSD One, which establishes a new vehicle class as an opti-integrated motorhome and optimally combines the best features of a semi-integrated and panel van.
One of the biggest advantages is the low weight of the lightweight construction in the form of a frame-reinforcing aluminium spaceframe and an outer skin made of automotive-quality aluminium sheet. In combination with the VW Crafter 35 flat-frame chassis, this results in an unrivalled high payload with a vehicle length of 6.90 m and a gross vehicle weight of 3.5 tonnes.
The NEXSD One also scores points when it comes to safety, as the aluminium frame construction has a higher torsional rigidity and crash stability than the sandwich walls used in conventional motorhome bodies. This can be a decisive advantage in the event of an accident. In addition, aluminium sheets are easier to repair and recycle in the event of damage than glass fibre-reinforced plastic.
A decisive advantage of the NEXSD One over a corresponding panel van is the optimum utilisation of space thanks to the vertical outer walls. This allows for more storage space and a more spacious feel at the same time.
Thanks to the complete integration of the doors into the vehicle electronics, the entire vehicle can be operated with a central key system, providing the perfect conditions for carefree everyday travelling.
Self-sufficiency
The Alpine Cross Cabin Signature was developed to be able to stand free for up to 3 days without a power connection under normal working conditions. The energy management was realised with a Mastervolt CombiMaster 12/2000-60, a charger-inverter combination for 230 V - 100 A. This allows conventional household appliances to be used on 230 V sockets as well as the two 800 W induction hobs in the kitchen. The 200 Ah lithium-ion battery is charged by solar modules while travelling. In addition, a charging booster charges the body batteries with 50 amps while travelling.
Central Control Unit
An important element in the Cross Cabin Signature is the Alpine Halo11 with its 11-inch swivelling screen. In addition to the sound system and navigation (via Navistick), this multi-media station can be used to control and read all the important functions of the body centrally and conveniently via a graphical user interface using touch. An additional 10-inch control display is located by the entrance door.
The system's connectivity ranges from battery management to fresh and grey water level indicators, heating and air conditioning settings, lighting control and many other options.
Sound Concept
In the Alpine Cross Cabin Signature, you can enjoy your music in the two sound zones in first-class quality at all times.
While travelling, you can use the Alpine Adventure Audio System, which is perfectly tuned to the VW Crafter and offers excellent listening pleasure in conjunction with the Alpine Halo11.
Music lovers will be particularly impressed by the Alpine Adventure In-Cabin Sound System in the living and working areas. In addition to the high-quality, ultra-slim loudspeakers in the rear wall, a powerful subwoofer and an innovative DSP amplifier from Alpine ensure an extraordinary sound experience that is unique for motorhomes. This makes the Cross Cabin Signature an oasis of sound in any weather.
Driver Assistance
In the Cross Cabin Signature, you benefit from numerous useful assistance systems. Thanks to the VW Crafter's power unit, you already have a wide range of state-of-the-art driver assistance systems at your disposal. These include "Front Assist" with automatic distance control and environment monitoring, drowsiness detection and crosswind assist.
In the Cross Cabin Signature, you are also supported by a number of motorhome-specific assistance systems that have been available in very few motorhomes to date. These include the brand-new 360-degree HD camera system from Alpine, which gives the driver a perfect overview when parking and manoeuvring thanks to the virtual bird's eye view. This innovative camera system completely eliminates blind spots and greatly reduces the risk of costly skids and accidents.
The Alpine Freeview digital rear-view mirror is also particularly useful. It allows you to see what is happening behind the vehicle, just like in a passenger car: The system looks like an ordinary rear-view mirror on the windscreen, but uses a high-resolution display and a rear camera to give the driver a wide-angle rear view. The familiar regular view to the rear makes overtaking, for example, much safer.
The Alpine Navi Stick, which comes as standard, offers further advantages while driving. The navigation software takes vehicle dimensions such as height, length, width and weight into account so that you only drive on suitable roads. With the router in the vehicle, the Navi Stick can also process online traffic information. The combination of motorhome navigation and online traffic information is particularly helpful here.
Exterior Design
Modern aesthetics in their most beautiful form: The interplay between the VW Crafter as the donor vehicle and the unique bodywork of the NEXSD One gives the Alpine Cross Cabin Signature a high-quality exterior appearance: it adopts the design shape of the basic bodywork and continues the design edges such as feature lines and tornado lines of the donor vehicle. This creates a holistic, harmonious and dynamic design as if from a single mould.
The minimalist and multifunctional interior design is also continued on the outside: the split tailgate is barely noticeable from the outside. The lower section can be opened separately for loading smaller items. The storage compartments accessible from the outside are just as inconspicuous. The 4 m electric awning and the framed windows blend in perfectly with the unmistakable two-tone exterior design.
