EXPANSION OF PRODUCTION AND EXHIBITION

MORELO invests in the future

The caravanning industry is on the upswing and a break in the trend is far from in sight. That is why the luxury travel vehicle manufacturer MORELO from Schlüsselfeld near Bamberg is planning an extensive plant expansion in order to increase its own capacity limits and to meet the constantly increasing demand for MORELO First Class mobile homes.

MORELO has developed into one of the most popular providers in the luxury motorhome segment over the past 10 years. “That is precisely why healthy growth must continue to be ensured. We want to start into a promising future with our 380 employees ”, says Robert Crispens, Managing Director of MORELO Reisemobile GmbH.

In just 8 months, a new floor area of 4,350 m² is to be created with 2 construction phases. "We know exactly what we need and how to implement it," says Reinhard Löhner, Managing Director of MORELO Reisemobile GmbH. “If anyone can realize a project of this size in this time, it is MORELO. It is well known that projects of outstanding size are our specialty.

Construction Phase 1: Expansion of the Exhibition Hall

In order to be able to present an even larger range of first-class motorhomes to customers and visitors, the already generously dimensioned exhibition hall will be expanded by 675 m². Additional consultation spaces, a new customer lounge and office space for sales and order processing will find space in the new, partly two-storey extension on the east side of the existing main building.

The groundbreaking should already take place in May 2021. The completion of the construction work is planned for December 2021. The subsequent commissioning will take place very soon.

Construction Phase 2: Production Expansion

On the west side of the plant, the existing production line will be expanded by 64 meters or five new cycle positions. On a total of 285 meters of belt length, 23 generous cycle positions are then available, which are urgently needed due to increasing production. Furthermore, new space will be created for the panel production, the parts production and the machine park, among other things. In total, the extension of construction phase 2 will take up an area of 3,520 m² and will be seamlessly integrated into the existing plant.

Only two months after the start of construction phase 1, the groundbreaking for construction phase 2 is planned for July 2021. The production expansion is to be completed parallel to construction phase 1 in December 2021.
