Agricamper was founded just 2 years ago and is already a staple of Italian camping apps. This is thanks to Pauline Nava, a French-born young entrepreneur who has fully committed herself to this project and can now look back on two very exhausting but also successful years.
How it started
A family explores ItalyRadical change sometimes brings out the best in people, and this is the case for Pauline. After studying marketing and communications and working for around 7 years as a project manager for various marketing agencies across France, including Nice, Marseille and Paris, she decided to move to Italy in 2015 with her husband and two young children.
Pauline was already in love with Italy before her move, but the many trips in her old 1974 Volkswagen T2 Westfalia deepened those feelings while the family lived in Lecco, right on Lake Como. Besides, she already knew France Passion, the inventors of the invitation formula, a concept she also applied in Italy.
In her own words Pauline describes Agricamper Italia like this: "When I moved to Italy with my family five years ago, I realised that there was no network that offered such a travel experience linked to the history, traditions and most beautiful places throughout Italy. Inspired by France Passion's Formule Invitations, which have been around in France for 30 years, I decided to create Agricamper Italia. With this, I want to give the countless international campers who travel by motorhome in Italy every year the opportunity to use a network that stands for guaranteed hospitality, originality, emphasis on sustainability and local treasures."
How it works
Growing a business on your ownAs Pauline is a big fan of the invitation formula invented by France Passion, the concept of Agricamper Italia is very similar. For an annual fee of €34.90, Agricamper Italia offers affiliated RV owners free 24-hour stays at over 250 private properties throughout Italy, including farms, wineries, touristy country inns and other special places. Campers can find their next stay through the app, which is available for Android and iOS. You get information about the hosts, the campsite and nearby events, discounts or special offers. Then all you have to do is book your stay, follow the golden rules of camping and enjoy your holiday.
